FAQ for Parents

The short answers to what parents ask most. Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade are free forever; everything else is one $2.49 purchase. No ads, no subscription, no tracking.

What is DigiChompers?

A math-practice game for kids from Pre-K through 6th grade. Your kid moves Digi across a 5×5 board and chomps the right answers. From Kindergarten up a wrong chomp costs a life, so guessing doesn't pay. Old-school math practice. No tricks. Just answer the problem.

What ages and grades is it for?

Eight grade levels: Pre-K (for 3- to 5-year-olds), Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th+. Each grade has its own number ranges, and the difficulty adjusts to each kid on its own, quietly, so they stay challenged without getting stuck.

What is free?

Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade are free forever, with all of their modes. The Parent Zone report card, kid profiles, daily time limits and hints are free too.

What does the $2.49 unlock include?

One $2.49 purchase unlocks Grades 2nd–6th+, every math mode, the Board Album (earn stars to open new rooms) and custom practice boards in the Parent Zone. It is a one-time purchase: no subscription and no extra in-app purchases.

Are there ads?

No. No ads, ever.

What data does it collect?

None. No analytics, no tracking, no accounts and no sign-up. Everything stays on your kid's device. The details are in our Privacy Policy.

Does it need the internet?

No. The game plays without an internet connection. Only buying or restoring the unlock goes through the App Store.

Can my kid buy something by accident?

No. Every purchase and every outside link is behind a grown-up check, and the Parent Zone has its own PIN.

Can more than one kid use it?

Yes. Each kid gets their own profile and their own report card.

How do I see how my kid is doing?

Open the Parent Zone. The report card shows what each kid practiced, what they got right and what they keep missing, plus their speed by skill over the last 30 days.

Can I limit screen time?

Yes. Set a daily time limit for each kid in the Parent Zone.

Does it read the questions out loud?

Yes, for the little ones: Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade questions are read aloud. A grown-up can switch it off in Settings.

Is it stressful? Are there timers?

Pre-K has no timer, no Chompers and no lives to lose: just tap and learn. At every grade the Chompers, the enemies that chase Digi, start switched off; you turn them on in Settings when your kid is ready. Speed mode opens once your child is quick enough.

I already bought the unlock. How do I get it on another device?

Tap "Restore purchases" on the unlock screen while signed in with the same Apple ID. Family Sharing is turned on for the unlock, so it works for your family's Apple devices too.

Is it on Android?

The Android version is in testing on Google Play. To join the testers, see the Android page.

Who makes DigiChompers?

Johnson Digital LLC, a small indie studio in California, started by a dad who built it for his own daughter. Questions or bug reports: see the Contact page.
